Groundbreaking ceremony with mayor Friday, free community event Saturday
Orlando, Fla., April 6, 2021— Renowned Orlando-based master plan community developer, Reader Communities, announces their Grand Opening celebration of the Rivington community which will take place on Saturday April 10 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 660 Kimber Lane in DeBary, Fla. Model home tours will be offered from the community’s three homebuilders – Dream Finders Homes, K. Hovnanian® Homes and M/I Homes. Over 50 of the 700 homes are under contract at the amenity-rich community and are priced from the $200s to $500s.
“We are thrilled to welcome the public to Rivington and debut the model homes so homebuyers can see firsthand this unique community we have taking shape,” said Dean Barberree, president of Reader Communities. “The response to Rivington has been exciting. The builders are already seeing success in presales which validates what we hoped to accomplish here providing accessibly-priced homes with great amenities like walking paths and open space.”
The family-friendly socially-distanced event is free and open to the public, featuring food trucks, live DJ and prize drawings. The first 300 guests will be treated to food and beverages from food trucks Peru Power, Smoke in the City BBQ and The Big Cheese Truck. Prize drawings for potential homebuyers include a $500 Lowe’s gift card, an Annual Family Pass to the Central Florida Zoo and local gift cards.
Three model homes will be open and available for tours. COVID safety measures will be in place throughout the entire event and attendees will be able to socially distance. Guests will be required to wear masks while inside the model homes.
A groundbreaking ceremony for the Rivington amenity pavilion and pool is set for Friday, April 9 at 11am. Speakers will include DeBary Mayor Karen Chasez, Reader Communities president Dean Barberree, vice presidents Jeffrey Reader and Kimberly Locher. A tour of the new furnished models will follow. All media are welcome.
The first phase of development at Rivington began in December 2019 and includes 300 single-family homes and townhomes by builders Dream Finders Homes, K. Hovnanian Homes and M/I Homes. The community features a mix of conventional and alley-served homes priced from the $200s to $500s, with townhomes approximately 1,500 square feet in size and single-family homes ranging up to approximately 3,000 square feet, many with ground floor owners’ suites. The homes will be designed with aspects of traditional and contemporary architecture to reflect the heritage and future of the area.
Rivington is the first master-planned residential community of several planned by Hillwood Communities and Reader Communities in the Southeast U.S.
